MDS Engineering developed a comprehensive lighting strategy for the SR1009 Market Street Bridge in Wilkes-Barre, PA, supporting the City and PennDOT District 4 during the project’s preliminary design phase. The scope included assessment of existing lighting assets, LED upgrade recommendations, and photometric simulations to ensure visibility, safety, and code compliance for both vehicular and pedestrian pathways. Through detailed coordination with PennDOT, the City, and GPI, MDS delivered a data-driven lighting solution that enhances the corridor’s long-term performance, sustainability, and visual continuity.
