MDS Engineering Recognized for Fox Apartments at CPBJ 2025 Top Projects Awards

MDS Engineering is proud to announce that the Fox Apartments project, located at 204 North George Street in York, has been honored at the Central Penn Business Journal Real Estate & Development Summit and Top Projects Awards 2025.

This adaptive reuse project transformed a historic bakery into a vibrant, modern multi-unit residential complex—adding both character and renewed energy to York’s urban landscape.

Project Team

  • Engineers: Warehaus, Martin Data Solutions (MDS Engineering), Walton & Company

MDS Engineering’s Role

MDS Engineering provided complete electrical design services, ensuring that the project combined modern functionality with the integrity of the historic structure. Our work included:

  • New utility-fed power distribution

  • Individually metered apartment panels

  • Energy-efficient LED lighting systems

  • Full life safety systems and code-compliant integration

Every detail was designed to balance system reliability, architectural sensitivity, and energy efficiency, making this project a model of urban revitalization and adaptive reuse.
