Estes Express York Solar Project
MDS Engineering provided electrical design review and interconnection support for a 434.70 kWDC rooftop solar array at the Estes Express facility in York, PA. The system includes 966 solar panels, three 100 kW inverters, and a supply-side connection to the 277/480V service, all designed to comply with NEC 2017 and UL 1741 SA standards. MDS ensured proper string sizing, voltage drop mitigation, rapid shutdown integration, and utility coordination to support reliable, code-compliant solar performance.

Estes Express New Columbia Solar Project
MDS Engineering served as Electrical Engineer of Record for a 498.15 kWDC rooftop solar installation at the Estes Express facility in New Columbia, PA. The system features 1,107 solar panels, four 100 kW inverters, and a 600A interconnection to the facility’s electrical service, designed for efficient energy delivery and utility compliance. MDS validated the system design for code adherence, arc fault protection, rapid shutdown, and long-term operational reliability.
